OFH Acquires Actuality’s Assets, Including 3-D and Medical Technologies

From 1997 to 2009, Actuality Systems, Inc. developed record-breaking 3-D display technologies and a variety of image analysis tools for medical imaging.  In April, 2009, ceased engineering operations and became an intellectual property holding company. On December 28, 2009, Optics for Hire (OFH) completed the acquisition of the patent portfolio and other assets developed and owned by Actuality Systems, Inc. This includes: volumetric and flat-screen light field 3-D displays, super-resolution 2-D projection, external beam radiation therapy (PerspectaRAD), and soft tissue cancer treatment technology (e.g. prostate brachytherapy).  Actuality was dissolved on December 31, 2009, following the transaction.
